I'll admit it, I wasn't a huge fan of the Jim Mora Jr. signing at UCLA last winter (read: I thought it was going to be a disaster), so I'm shocked an impressed that he has the Bruins sitting at #17 in the nation, 7-2, and first place in the Pac 12 South after throttling Arizona by 56 last week. I just feel morally obligated to throw one thing in before I give Mora too much credit: this dude is out of his mother effing mind.
EXHIBIT A: Mora made his assistant coaches wear war paint for the Arizona game:
Not the craziest thing I've ever seen, but when your coaching staff is dressing up like half-assed YMCA Indian Guides for regular season games you might have a bit of an intensity issue.
EXHIBIT B: Someone with a fake Twitter account pretended to be Bruin Randall Goforth and wallpapered the Trojans bulletin board with trash talk:
Mora responded like any coach would have...he confirmed it wasn't Randall, called Lane Kififn to explain, then gave a press conference where he essentially vowed to send Seal Team 6 after whoever did it to drag them to UCLA practice and murder them:
Seems like a rational dude.
I don't want to tell you how to run your team Jimmy Boy, but instead of spending your weekends playing dress up or putting hits out on college kids why don't you focus on beating USC for the second time this century and giving us all a Pac 12 Championship Game worth watching? Then you can wear all the war paint you want.
