Before Notre Dame's magical 2012 season came crashing down in Miami it was nearly derailed by a lackluster showing against Pitt. The Irish needed a 14-point fourth quarter just to force OT, and a botched chip shot field goal to survive it, finally topping the Panthers in a third overtime frame.
The 2013 Fighting Irish weren't as lucky.
